CHRYSALIS
The sculptures, entitled "Chrysalis," symbolically depict the transformation of an earthworm within its chrysalis. In this case, the earthworms symbolize the connection with the earth and grounding that human beings do have. Chrysalises serve as a compelling illustration of life's continuity, even during periods of dormancy or while the creature undergoes metamorphosis, as seen in the transformation of a butterfly.
